MAC Matte Lipstick in Lady Danger Review

I recently got 5 MAC lipsticks, 4 of them a friend picked up for me from Hong Kong where they retail for about $22 AUD each, in comparison to $36 AUD in Australia. I'll be blogging about each of them eventually!

I'll be reviewing Lady Danger lipstick, which is described on the MAC website as a "vivid bright coral-red," with a matte finish, which I definitely agree with. It doesn't have much of a blue undertone, more of a yellow. Because it is a matte formulation, it is slightly drying, but with a lip balm underneath it feels quite a bit better, and it lasts quite well due to the formula.
When I used it, I used NYX's Orange lip liner pencil, because I haven't bought a shade that suits it properly yet, but I think it matched quite decently. Check out my post on NYX lip liners here.

I think this is definitely a very opaque lipstick. I did hand swatches with one swipe, and with a few swipes, so that you can see and compare the difference. Even with one swipe, it was almost 100% opaque, so full marks go to this lipstick in the pigmentation category.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this lipstick if you're looking for a bright, matte red, because I love it!
